“how he had been made known to them in the breaking of the bread” – Luke 24:35
I knelt during Mass as the priest raised the Eucharist – “this is My Body.” Suddenly, my heart opened and I knew fully that this is Jesus before me. My eyes filled with tears as my heart cried, “my Lord and my God”.
The Eucharist is such an incredible blessing – “I am with you always, to the end of the age” – Matthew 28:20
I adoration this past Friday, I was overwhelmed with joy while giving thanks to God for all His blessings upon me. I don’t deserve any of those blessings but He doesn’t hold back. In fact, Ge pours the blessings out even more abundantly. I am overwhelmed.
And, then, He gives me clarity of heart to see Him fully in this moment.
Then….
“Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.”” – Matthew 26:26
Sitting here now writing this post, I can feel the tingles of His presence still. I am filled with the reality that Jesus stood before me at the altar. He invited me forward to “take and eat” His true body in this Eucharistic body.
Focus hard the next time at Mass upon the full truth of this fact – “this is my body.”
“THIS IS MY BODY!!”
“When he was at the table with them, he took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him; and he vanished from their sight. They said to each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us” – Luke 24:30-32
Come Holy Spirit! Open our eyes to see and know this truth in all its fullness.
