The most powerful and dangerous prayer a soul can make – one the requires true, unwavering courage is “Thy Will be done.”
This prayer takes true fortitude and courage because in it the soul is saying ‘not my will but Yours, God. The more impossible – I trust in You.” This is a prayer contradictory to everything the world and its ruler preaches and teaches. It is a prayer of total humility. It is a prayer that draws the attention and ire of Satan. He can’t understand and hates humility. This is why Mary’s fiat drives him to crazy hatred of her children. “Be it done to me according to Thy Will” – Luke 1:38
“Thy Will be done” is surrendering your strength, expectations and fear to God. It is a prayer of total meekness that drives the soul to true nobility. Don’t confuse weakness and meekness. Meekness is the strength and courage to yield ourselves actively to God’s Divine Will.
This is the kind of soul God calls you to be. A man of His strength – like David, a man of nobility, courage, strength, love and humility – a man after God’s Own Heart (1 Samuel 13:14).
No fear! For we are armed with the mightiest of weapons. Our weapons are prayer, the virtues, the Sacraments. In the Holy Name of Jesus we wield the power of the Holy Spirit like a vorpal blade. We aren’t called to meekly stand back as Hell comes at us. No! We are called to storm the very gates of Hell. “On this rock I bike My Church and the gates of Hell will not prevail against it” – Matthew 16:18
“The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds” – 2 Corinthians 10:4
There is nothing to fear! Be courageous! Be strong! Never retreat or back down from being a Catholic man (or woman).
Stand like David before mighty and invincible Goliath, armed with the very power of God Himself. Have courage! Stand!
“Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9
“Resist the devil and he will flee” – James 4:7
Are you ready to fight?!? Let’s go! Let’s shout our battle cry against the devil and his kingdom who want to cancel and silence us!
“Jesus, I trust in You!”
