“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” – Matthew 3:2; 4:17; Mark 1:15
“The people walking in darkness; have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.” – Isaiah 9:2
“I am who I am” – Exodus 3:14
These words strike me this morning. We serve a God of the moment – now. Yes, He is, was and will be but, by the Name He gave us, He IS. Now.
Come to understand and believe this simple fact. We serve a God Who is now in this moment. This is when we need God most.
The soul can do nothing to change the past with guilt or regrets or wishes. The soul can add nothing to the future by worry or fear. Only now – this moment – matters.
“If only I could go back, knowing what I know…” – “what will happen when I see the doctor next week?” All human worries the soul can’t help but reflect upon but when the soul sees God NOW, here in this moment at his side. It’s a game-changer.
That is the biggest focus of “I Knew His Voice” – my book available on Amazon and Kindle. God IS present NOW. He doesn’t want us to worry about what we should have/could have done no more then He wants us to stress about what is coming around the corner ahead.
God wants us to know He is now. God wants the soul to focus all his efforts and thoughts and even prayers upon this moment. It is in this moment that God gives us the grace to survive and thrive.
Stop stressing about what was or may or may not be. Start focusing upon now. Start looking for the great ‘I AM’ in this moment.
