“The LORD himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8
Two of my favorite ‘fighting words’ verses in the Bible. When the enemy draws near and the soul can feel his breath and hatred upon it, pull out these verses and stand confident and courageously.
There is NEVER a time the Lord will let you down and NEVER an instance in which God will fail you. He is ALWAYS at your side, ALWAYS fighting for you, ALWAYS your lead guard.
When the enemy is tempting or had even successful tempted you, stand back up with your fist in the air, knowing that the Lord is there at your side. It is His battle, His war. God only asks us to trust His power and mercy.
“As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning.” Exodus 17:11
Like Moses, keep our hands up in prayer and trust. Give our full measure to God, know that the battle is His. And, He has already won the battle and war.

Do you try to fight the battles against temptation, sin and the enemy on your own? When you fight your own battles, we quickly see we don’t have the strength to endure let alone win. Trust in the Lord. Trust His power is absolute and trust that His Divine Mercy is absolute. Both His Power and Mercy span wider than the whole cosmos and all creation.
Surrender to God’s Power, Surrender to God’s Mercy. Let Him love you how He wants to love you.
Trust in God. He will NEVER stop fighting for you. He will NEVER stop winning.
