“September 6, 1937. Today, I begin a new assignment. I go from the garden to the desert of the gate. I went in to talk to the Lord for a while. I asked Him for a blessing and for graces to faithfully carry out the duties entrusted to me. I heard these words: My daughter, I am always with you. I have given you the opportunity to practice deeds of mercy which you will perform according to obedience. You will give Me much pleasure if, each evening, you will speak to Me especially about this task.I felt that Jesus had given me a new grace in relation to my new duties; but, despite this, I have locked myself deeper in His Heart” (Diary, 1267).
I see this situation and these words from Jesus as a reinforcement of my mission field at work. I have the opportunity to speak words of mercy to those around me, some of whom may never have heard this language previously. I can share mercy through my actions and love, poured into sometimes another souls. As St Faustina found at the gate, Oren these poor beggar souls are Jesus in ‘disguise‘, giving me a lesson of how to practice His Mercy in this world and if I am really practiced, my acts of mercy will rise to His throne as such a pleasant fragrance that Jesus will want to come to see what I am doing in the Name of a his Mercy. See Divine Mercy in my Soul paragraph # 1312
The task of the soul living in the mercy of Jesus should be to share this Divine Mercy with every soul as if sharing with Jesus Himself. The soul’s that can do this will look into the mirror and see the Merciful Jesus smiling back at him.
we have the unique blessing of being able to receive and dispense Mercy – our task is to use both to their utmost. The Lord is generous, we should be the same. All that we have is from Him – don’t hide that lamp. If you give away everything God fives you, you will be blessed with more.
