Praying for a praise sing for this Monday as we draw ever closer to Easter and ‘Awesome God’ comes to heart. No doubt this is put on my heart by God Himself. He isn’t pridefully declaring in this that He is an Awesome God (which He is) but instead is calling us to always remember, no matter what, even facing death or sin, our God is an Awesome God. Nothing is even in the same galaxy in comparison to our Awesome God. And, if our God is so awesome (which He is), then what do we have to fear?
I love this song. It was one of my favorites playing my guitar. Nice simple with only a few chords. Easy to strum with and lift my voice to. There is never anything to compare with hearing a roomful of men at an Emmaus retreat sing this with all their heart.
