The last century was the bloodiest in human history. St John Paul II called it the “century of tears”. Millions have died from two world wars, innocents and soldiers alike. Christians are martyred daily and in our own country we are being attacked and marginalized. The Church has been and is under attack like few times since Jesus gave its start with Peter in Matthew 16:18. The enemy looks stronger then ever.
How can we possibly face all this darkness? How can we hold steady, let alone.
Mary is the answer! Count on the one who is “full of grace” to be your strength. In a time of unprecedented evil, God wants to give unprecedented grace. This is the time of Mercy! “Where sin abounds, grace abounds all the more” Romans 5:20.
St. Padre Pio once said, “Some people are so foolish that they think they can go through life without the help of the Blessed Mother. Love the Madonna and pray the Rosary, for her Rosary is the weapon against the evils of the world today. All graces given by God pass through the Blessed Mother.”
Pope Francis said in 2013, “Mary joins us, she fights at our side. She supports Christians in the fight against the forces of evil. Especially through prayer, through the rosary.”
Lean on the Blessed Mother with the weapon she recommends most – the Holy Rosary. Mary told Lucy, “to recite the Rosary every day to our Lady of the Rosary to obtain peace in the world and the end of the war, because only She will be able to aid you.” She gives us the same marching orders.
Trust the plan of Jesus and fight back with the greatest weapons God has bestowed upon His Church. The Holy Rosary pounds the head of Satan and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy literally rips sinners from his grasp.
Tertullian said, “The Blood of the Martyrs is the seed of the church”. At Fatima, Mary told the children, “The good will be martyed, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, and various nations will be destroyed…But in the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph.” “To save future souls God wishes to establish in the world the devotion to My Immaculate Heart. If people do what I tell you, many souls will be saved.”
Mary, spread the effect of grace of Thy Flame of Love over all of humanity. Amen
I started praying the rosary with the words from the end of this post added to the Hail Mary. Reading “Flame of Love” and am amazed that I have not heard of this before now.
We did too. Any chance we can get to put the enemy in his place. Figure double bang – Rosary and The Flame of Love
