Mary my mother of Mercy

Spread the love

For me, one of the greatest things Mary brought to and still brings to my life is Mercy.

“I’m the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph”

“(Words of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy, to St. Faustina): “…you have to speak to the world about His great mercy and prepare the world for the Second Coming of Him Who will come, not as a merciful Savior, but as a just Judge. Oh, how terrible is that day! Determined is the day of justice, the day of divine wrath. The angels tremble before it. Speak to souls about this great mercy while it is still the time for granting mercy.”” Divine Mercy in my soul # 635

Without the Mother of Mercy, Divine Mercy would not be present for any of us. God is mercy, His mercy is forever. “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” Psalm 118:29 In our time, Mary has been one of the biggest advocates of Mercy and has been our guide to His Mercy.

Mary says, “in union with you, I want to change the world”.

How do we find mercy? Mary, at each of her apparitions in modern times gives us the key, prayer. She is our advocate and takes our prayer directly to her Divine Son. “Offer yourself up to the Immaculata!…Let her work through you, and you shall disseminate much happiness on earth even during this our time. To many a restless soul, you will give peace and serenity in God.” St Maximillian Kolbe

Mary opens the door to Mercy and lead us within Its Extraordinary Gates. She walks us to the throne of The King of Mercy, presenting us and defending us. She introduces us as her child. She reminds Jesus of His words at the cross and of the 4th Commandment. And, her Divine Son, our Lord and Merciful Savior honors her and His promise of Mercy.

“Let the soul be aware that, in order to pray and persevere in prayer, one must arm oneself with patience and cope bravely with exterior and interior difficulties. The interior difficulties are discouragement, dryness, heaviness of spirit and temptations. The exterior difficulties are human respect and time; one must observe the time set apart for prayer” Divine Mercy in my Soul #147
