Illumination – the warning

Spread the love

“There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, and on the earth distress among nations confused by the roaring of the sea and the waves. People will faint from fear and foreboding of what is coming upon the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. “ Luke 21:25-26

Many saints, including St. Faustina, St. Pope Pius IX, St. Pope Paul VI have talked about a coming day of Illumination in which God will show all souls the ‘compilation’ of all their sins and their chosen destination if they we’re worthy die at that moment. This compilation of sin which God will show the soul will be all sin committed, all sin of omission and the repercussions and fruits of those sins. The soul will be shown the ripples of how it’s sins affected other souls and even to an extent, the world.

God will put us in a timeout and show us every sin. We will see our souls as God sees them. Everything that we’ve ever done, said or thought is known by God. All the sins we did in hiding, God knows. The soul will have no defense. There will be no hiding, no excuses, no ‘well buts’. Unlike Adam though, whom God clothed, in this Illumination God will stand as if naked before God. Many souls will not survive seeing the extent of what they’ve done.

And the soul will be shown its destination if it doesn’t change its ways. Unfortunately, many will see Hell. This will be a dark moment for many souls,

This is a mini-judgment of sorts. As horrible as this moment may seem, this is the Father’s last, big act of Divine Mercy before the Day of Justice. In this Illumination, God the Father is showing souls the truth of Himself and what they are, not as condemnation, but as a last hope that the soul will repent and turn back to His Mercy.

Many, despite standing before God and seeing all these transgressions, will be so hard of heart that they will deny the reality of what they’ve experienced. They will blame others, make excuses or anything to not stand before this Mercy. But, many souls who have sin as “dark as night“ WILL see the error of their lives and repent. These informed souls will be lost in new territory, they will not know how to live or what’s expected of them in this new life. Like the eunuch in Act 8:31, they will ask, “how can I know if no one tells me?” And this is where we come in. We will all have this same Illumination but we have for knowledge, we can prepare and accept His Divine Mercy now. So that when these souls come wondering after this occurs, we can be like Phillip and help them walk into their new life.

“Write this: before I come as the just Judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy. Before the day of justice arrives, there will be given to people a sign in the heavens of this sort: All light in the heavens will be extinguished, and there will be great darkness over the whole earth. Then the sign of the cross will be seen in the sky, and from the openings where the hands and the feet of the Savior were nailed will come forth great lights which will light up the earth for a period of time. This will take place shortly before the last day.” Divine Mercy # 83

“Speak to the world about My mercy; let all mankind recognize My unfathomable mercy. It is a sign for the end times; after it will come the day of justice. While there is still time, let them have recourse to the fount of My mercy; let them profit from the Blood and Water which gushed forth for them. “ Divine Mercy # 848
