My book, “I knew His Voice” started as a normal daily, personal journal of the events that occurred over the span of a year, later growing to complete the journey of a decade.
“I Knew His Voice” tells the story of the journey through turbulent years of illness, struggles, suffering and growth.
“I Knew His Voice” centers around our daughter who was diagnosed with lupus nephritis at the age of 18. This horrible disease basically causes your own body to attack itself. Lupus Nephritis specifically targets the kidneys. This diagnosis began a long journey of faith and trust through miraculous events, a “dark night”, the direct intervention of St. Faustina, and the loving care of our Lord. This is a true story within a school of trust.
Shortly after our daughter was diagnosed, things quickly turned rough and got bad very quickly. She had major attacks of pain through her chest that led to many ER visits and hospital stays over the next several months.
On one ER visit, while she was in extreme pain, I prayed for healing at her side. That night, our Lord came to my daughter in the ER. She didn’t see His face, but, she knew it was Him. Later, when I asked how she knew it was Jesus then, she replied, “I knew His Voice.”
This started a wild journey of faith for myself that culminated (at the time) with a collapse of my faith beside her ICU bed. She had a seizure earlier in the day and went into respiratory failure. I had prayed for healing for months and now she lay on the edge of life. My faith failed that night. But, the Lord started a building process at that moment, introducing me to St Faustina. Over the next months I walked through some dark times in my faith. Then God’s light broke through. He started teaching me to trust Him.
Our Lord appeared to my daughter again several months later in another time of suffering. This time she saw Him clearly. My wife was present to witness this event as well.
While I never saw Jesus personally, I know what I witnessed was true. I heard the Father and Jesus speak to me several times and felt His guiding hand in my life as He taught me, through Divine Mercy, what trust was and how to place total trust in Him.

This story and book have changed lives, drawing those who barely believe and don’t actively follow God, back to Him fully. There are stories related to me of faith found and hope gained even in darkest of times.
