Hand in hand

Spread the love

“God the LORD, he who created the heavens and stretched them out, he who spread out the earth and that which comes out of it, he who gives breath to its people and spirit to those who walk in it, says: “I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness. I will hold your hand. I will keep you, and make you a covenant for the people, as a light for the nations.” Isaiah 42:5-6

Think to yourself, what could I do if i believed I was working hand in hand with God? How should these words from God affect my actions? “I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness. I will hold your hand. I will keep you, and make you a covenant for the people, as a light for the nations.”

The words of Jesus in the Bible and to St. Faustina that is very comforting and common are “I am with you.” Jesus confirms many times in St. Faustina’s writings and in those red words of Scripture that He is with us always and will never leave nor abandon us.

God spoke to my heart once a few years ago, saying, “before I brought the light, I knew YOU and what you would be called to do.” This was very uplifting to me. On one side, God knew what I would do against Him throughout my life but still had plans for how I would serve His glory. And, despite the sins of my life, Jesus died for me AND God the Father has planned better things.

At that moment, I realized nothing is about what o can or cannot do. It is all about what God has called me to do and if God has called me to a task, how can I fail and further, how can I say no?

Proclaim along with David, “the battle is the Lord’s.” Trust in the Father’s call, He Who made heaven and earth and all the stars. He is calling you to do great things for His glory. So, when standing before what appears to be an undefeatable Goliath or insurmountable mountain, say a pray, remember God’s words and then move forward in trust that if it is God’s Will, He will make it possible. God has this.

God will never leave you alone to do His work. He will give you the insight to master, the power to overcome and the drive to make it so.
