For God so loved…

Spread the love

For God so loved…

“for God so loved the world, that He sent His only Son so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but have eternal life”  John 3:16

“that we may be called children of God”  1 John 3:1

How remarkable this is!  To think that the God of the universe loves me individually, loves me so much more than any human or angel will comprehend ever.

My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel, will be able to fathom it throughout all eternity”  Divine Mercy in my soul # 699.

“O incomprehensible God, how great is Your mercy! It surpasses the combined understanding of all men and angels”  Divine Mercy in my soul # 651
This love goes so far beyond the greatest possible experience of love we can experience on earth.  This is a love that led the Father to send His Son, the second person of the Trinity, to earth in a manger.  This is the same love that Jesus showed as He climbed on the cross to die for the sins I would someday commit…seeing exactly those sins and accepting the suffering anyway.

It is a shame that so many I meet really don’t know that God loves them, or that He could possibly love them because of (fill in the blank).   Some ‘know’ God, but still have no understanding of this incredible love that He has for the soul.  So much is the love of Jesus, that if there were but one soul in need of salvation, He would have died the same death for that soul.  I speak to so many men and women who just don’t understand, or don’t think it possible…that think they are unlovable by the God Who created them.

See the conversation from paragraph #1485 from ‘Divine Mercy in my soul’

Soul: Lord, I doubt that You will pardon my numerous sins; my misery fills me with fright.
Jesus: My mercy is greater than your sins and those of the entire world. Who can measure the extent of my goodness? For you I descended from heaven to earth; for you I allowed myself to be nailed to the cross; for you I let my Sacred Heart be pierced with a lance, thus opening wide the source of mercy for you. Come, then, with trust to draw graces from this fountain. I never reject a contrite heart. Your misery has disappeared in the depths of My mercy. Do not argue with Me about your wretchedness. You will give me pleasure if you hand over to me all your troubles and griefs. I shall heap upon you the treasures of My grace.

Trust in the love and mercy of Jesus – His heart is burning to pour His love into your soul.  Trust is the vessel to His love, the more a soul trusts the more it can fill itself with the love of God.
