“When a soul sees and realises the gravity of it sins; when the whole abyss of the misery into which it immersed itself is displayed before its eyes, let it not despair, but with trust, let it throw itself into the arms of My mercy, as a child into the arms of its beloved mother. The biggest secret that Satan will do everything to keep. He never wants word of this to spread. His only ‘hope’ is that souls stay in despair and misery of their sins. These souls lose hope in Mercy as their hearts harden. Lost hope is the devil’s playground. The soul who listens to Satan’s whispers that it’s sins are too dark, past too bad to be forgiven by God’s Mercy falls into despair.
The Lord will make radicaL moves to save this soul. Jesus came to earth in the incarnation, taught of the Father’s love throughout His ministry and willingly submitted to the passion and crucifixion for that soul. It was the only way to break the chains the enemy bound to this soul. It was a price that Jesus thought worth paying.
When the soul “displayed before its eyes“, Jesus asks only that the soul “not despair, but with trust, let it throw itself into the arms of My mercy”. Follow St Terese’s little way, “with trust”, know that it is too small and weak to deal with the tragedy of its sin and simply throw its arms up to the Father. The Father will lift the soul from the muck of its wretchedness. Jesus confirms His strong desire, the infinite love and mercy of the Father, for “These souls have a right of priority to My compassionate Heart; they have first access to My mercy“
God, through the passion, death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ has conquered sin and Satan. Now, we just have to claim that victory! Throw yourself into the arms of Divine Mercy, and claim the right of priority to His compassionate Heart; claim first access to Divine Mercy.
