Come Holy Spirit – Give Peace

Spread the love

It seems clear, fear is gripping our nation and people. The world is enveloped by demons bringing fearful circumstances to the hearts of all. Wars, and violence, murdering abortions and crazed actions of ‘the guys next door’, all are meant be the demons to take away our peace. These actions in the news and around the globe are meant to take our eyes from God and turn them downward or inward.

Demons of fear, panic and terror are trying to destroy our trust in God.

The solution is clear – right before us – turn to the Holy Spirit and commend it all to the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts. In these holy hearts, fear is destroyed. Our prayer needs to focus simply on “Jesus, I trust in You”.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” – John 14:27

“when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”” – John 20:19

“Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”  And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” – John 20:21-22

So many examples of the answer to the fears on our front page. Purity of response to all the fake news and lies in social media and on mainstream TV.

Peace in Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

This seems too easy – pray “Jesus, I trust in You” and accept His peace? But, that’s it. Ease and simplicity are the key to peace in God. The demons want to complicate things. The more complex, the more fearful the soul is that he can’t do it allowing a demon of despair on top of those of fear. The demons pile on.

But, Jesus steps into that fear like He did in the locked upper room and breaths the peace of the Holy Spirit upon the soul.

Invoke this peace now and very often. “Come Holy Spirit. Come Holy Spirit. Come Holy Spirit. Jesus, I trust in You. Come Holy Spirit.”

“Come Holy Spirit” and “Jesus, I trust in You” need to be your mantra in all situations. Wipe away fear in these simple prayers. Trust that God is God and has already won the victory – so what do I have to fear or do? Nothing.
