Appeal to Mercy and find joy

Spread the love

I went to the Sacrament of Mercy and could feel the overwhelming love of God the Father – His joy beaming. As I confessed my sins and asked God to give me delight in my salvation and to let me delight in His Divine Mercy, I feel a rush of love pouring over me.

The priest says “You know the Father is trying to drown you in His love and grace?  And the joy of the love of Jesus is washing over you.”
Oh, the joy of the love of Jesus!!

I left the confessional walking on air. I bow before our Lord in Adoration and as I lay prone before Him, I could feel warmth through my whole body. I knew this was Jesus, on the altar before me, confirming His pleasure and love for me. I do my penance and then look at my phone to spend a few moments with Jesus on the daily Divine Mercy reflection that I hadn’t read yet today. I am stunned by the meditation of Divine Mercy that I received, “Souls that make an appeal to My mercy delight Me. To such souls I grant even more graces than they ask. I cannot punish even the greatest sinner if he makes an appeal to My compassion, but on the contrary, I justify him in My unfathomable and inscrutable mercy” (Diary, 1146).
And then I meet Sister Pawla of the Convent of the Sister of the Merciful Jesus in the entryway, we talk about Father Sopocko and St. Faustina and “the reckless love of God.”

Oh if only all souls could know this love in their hearts and let it drown them. God the Father so loves every single soul that He created. He desires that every soul be the saint He created, so much so that His Son came to earth, lived and suffered His Sorrowful Passion for each individual soul. He died on the cross to take away ALL sins. Yes, even your worst and ‘most unforgivable’ sin!! Especially that sin.

Turn to Jesus and release His love, OPEN THE FLOODGATES by simply trusting what He tells us. The whole of the Bible is summed up in a simple phrase, “God loves YOU”
