3 O’Clock

Spread the love

“Jesus told Faustina: “At three o’clock, implore My mercy, especially for sinners; and, if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in My Passion, particularly in My abandonment at the moment of agony. This is the hour of great mercy for the whole world.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # Diary 1329

It is not a long prayer. It is not complicated. It is a moment of remembrance — a pause in the middle of the day to look at the Cross and say: I believe in Your mercy. I trust in You.

At 3:00 PM, the Church remembers the moment of Jesus’ death on the Cross — the hour when He gave His life for the salvation of the world. It is the hour of sacrifice, of love poured out completely, and of mercy made visible through His wounds.

In the Gospel, we see that Jesus cried out and breathed His last at this hour. What seemed like defeat became the greatest victory: sin was conquered, death was overcome, and the door to eternal life was opened for all.

This is why the Hour of Mercy is not just a devotion — it is a return to the heart of the Gospel. When we pause at 3:00 PM, we unite ourselves with Christ in His Passion. We stand at the foot of the Cross, even if only for a moment.

Jesus revealed to Saint Faustina that this hour is filled with special grace. He asked that we immerse ourselves in His suffering and trust in His mercy, promising that nothing will be refused to the soul that asks through His Passion.

The Hour of Mercy is prayed at 3:00 PM every day, but it is especially powerful today. On Good Friday — the actual anniversary of Christ’s death on the Cross.

If you don’t already, start praying this prayer daily. Set your phone reminder or alarm to stop you for just a minute to pray at this powerful moment.

You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.”

(Repeat three times:) O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of mercy for us, I trust in You.
