“You will prepare the world”

Spread the love

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19

As Christians, our first and primary goal is to tell the whole world of Jesus and His love. Jesus points to God the Father and brings the Holy Spirit from there. We don’t do this alone nor are we groundbreaking in the teachings. Mary leads the army of evangelists, she is the first to tell of God’s Son and has not stopped since Gabriel came to her in the Annunciation and to her husband, Joseph. There are many great evangelists since Jesus gave this command. many of which are church doctors, many more are declared saints and millions more are unknown to us by name. But, I’m sure we all have that one (or several) evangelist in our life who stands out.

The secular world is full of “anti-evangelists” now who from their pulpit drown out everything that relates to the message of God and His Son. I have spoken to many Christians who feel overwhelmed by these people and their vehement hatred of God. Read anything about Marx and you can see from whom they are taking their lead. No, not Marx or Lenin but from Satan himself. And many don’t even realize that fact.

““You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16

We are given this great commandment from Jesus. This was the last directive He gave before leaving and has been the core of what He has shared through His Saints and church since. It is the message Jesus sends His Blessed Mother to bring to His flock. Prepare! Be the light!

This may seem a daunting task of which I’ve heard many say they are not qualified. But, if you are a follower of Christ Jesus, you are called. God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called. More saints in Heaven will have no formal training or education in apologetics or Church Doctrine. One thing you do bring along with the greatest saints is a relationship with Jesus. Speak of that, show that relationship. A benighted or lost soul can always find ways to contest doctrine – look at John 6 and all the Pharisees said and did despite hearing what Jesus said. None but the most hardened can contest your personal relationship and stories. Tell of your love of Jesus, tell how you met Him and how He’s shown Himself and given peace to your heart. That is the foundation of my book, “I knew His Voice” (available on Amazon or through the catalog page of my blog).

Our singular goal is the effort to share His good news and love. To tell the whole world (or our small part of it) of Jesus Christ. We are to throw the seeds everywhere and then trust God to sow the soil of the hearts upon which they fall. We aren’t responsible for how others accept or even if they do accept what we say. But, we will stand before God someday and have to answer the question of how we prepared those around us for His second coming. Remember, actions can speak louder than words and prayer rings in Heaven for souls to whom we can’t speak the words.

“When, on one occasion, instead of interior prayer, I took up a book of spiritual reading, I heard these words spoken distinctly and forcefully within my soul, You will prepare the world for My final coming. These words moved me deeply, and although I pretended not to hear them, I understood them very well and had no doubt about them. Once, being tired out from this battle of love with God, and making constant excuses on the grounds that I was unable to carry out this task, I wanted to leave the chapel, but some force held me back and I found myself powerless. Then I heard these words, You intend to leave the chapel, but you shall not get away from Me, for I am everywhere. You cannot do anything of yourself, but with Me you can do all things” Divine Mercy in my soul # 429
