“But now thus says the Lord,
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine.” Isaiah 43-1
Stop and close your eyes to meditate upon these words spoken by the Father through Isaiah.
Following the passion, crucifixion, Easter resurrection and Divine Mercy Sunday, Jesus is repeating these words directly to you. “Fear not, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by name, you are Mine”
Fear not, your past sins and transgressions are behind you, they are long forgotten by God. He doesn’t hold you guilty for confessed and forgiven sin. Neither should you. You are redeemed!
Jesus speaks these words to me this morning, “I have come to you in the silence, I have come to you in the darkness, I have come to you in the sin. I love you and you are Mine.”
“When you pass through the waters I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you.
For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
I give Egypt as your ransom,
Ethiopia and Seba in exchange for you.
Because you are precious in my eyes,
and honored, and I love you” Isaiah 43:2-4
My journey through life has taken me through pits of fire and the flood of sin. I have walked through some very dark days and dug myself into fields of dark sin. Despite all my years of sin, decades of scorning God and blaspheming His Holy Name, Jesus ransomed me with His suffering and death.
Jesus chose to pierce His Sacred Heart and spill every drop of blood for me. Just one drop of the Precious Blood of Jesus is enough to wash the whole world free of sin, it isn’t that my sin was so vile that He needed to do more to redeem me. It is a testament to His love for me that He chose to go overboard and give all for me.
I look at the crucifix this morning and ask, “why would You do that, my Lord? I am not worth Your sacrifice.” I hear His voice coming from the cross before me, “Because you are precious in my eyes,
and honored, and I love you”
“Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the Fount of My Mercy” Divine Mercy in my soul # 699
Let Isaiah’s words sink into your heart, keep them on the forefront of your mind. You are redeemed because Jesus loves you, YOU are precious in His eyes. Find peace in His Divine Mercy and rest in the tender embrace of your Heavenly Father.
Jesus did not come to save the righteous….
I love this scripture quote….thank you for the meditation today. Definitely spoke to my heart.
