“I have revealed to you the whole ocean of My mercy. I seek and desire souls like yours, but they are few. Your great trust in Me forces Me to continuously grant you graces.” Divine Mercy in my soul #718
“[After seeing the image come alive, I heard these words,] You are a witness of My mercy. You shall stand before My throne forever as a living witness to My mercy” Diary #417
It may seem strange to say but, when praying with St Faustina today in her diary, I had the sense that Jesus is speaking these words to each of us in these ‘crazy’ days.
We are not only in a stronger place scientifically and with medical research but, we are better equipped than any other generation of saints to speak of the graces and mercy of God. We know more about Who God is and What He is – love. His mother has shared His message through centuries and his saints and doctors of the Church have been opening up so much knowledge for us. Then, came St Faustina and the messages Jesus has shared with her, written in her diary, “Divine Mercy in my soul”.
The enemy would want us to hide in terror during this pandemic and all the dark things happening in the world. But, God is calling us to not be afraid. He is asking “whom shall I send to be My light in these dark days?” How will you answer? I stand and answer, “here I am, Lord. Send me”
“I am giving you three ways of exercising mercy toward your neighbour: the first – by deed, the second – by word, the third- by prayer.” Diary # 742
When you feel God calling to your heart – answer, “here I am, Lord’. Then act, even in social distancing, we can show mercy by deeds (safely done), we can share loving words of mercy by phone, ZOOM, text and in my opinion, the most powerful thing we can do is pray. Prayer is powerful and our first resort – we can always do that, no matter how socially distant.
“…in these three degrees is contained the fullness of mercy, and it is an unquestionable proof of love for Me. By this means a soul glorifies and pays reverence to My mercy” diary #742
Say, yes, Lord and share and glorify His Mercy. Be a witness to His Mercy, you might change someone’s eternity.
“I see that God never tries us beyond what we are able to suffer. Oh, I fear nothing; if God sends such great suffering to a soul. He upholds it with an even greater grace, although we are not aware of it. One act of trust at such moments gives greater glory to God than whole hours passed in prayer filled with consolations.” Diary #78
