With lifted hands

Spread the love

With every heartbeat in my chest Lord I surrender all that I have.
The days yet to come, the days in the past. I’m giving you all I am with lifted hands. Heaven or grave There is no place I can go to escape Your love. Father forgive me
for taking so long to see that You’re all I need.

“Where can I go from your spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there. If I take the wings of the morning and settle at the farthest limits of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me fast.” Psalm 139:7-10

Sitting here this morning meditating upon the words of Psalm 139 I am given great peace to know that God is God of all times and places. He was my God, is my God and will be my God no matter what tides may come in life nor where my path leads.

I’ve done things in life of which I am ashamed and no doubt my days from here til the end will not all be happy and bright. I have sinned and will again. I have walked away from God and spurned His love, THAT will never happen again. Sitting here this morning, the Father confirms within the depths of my soul that everywhere I’ve tried to run in the past has found Him standing at my side.

He was there in the darkest days and the best, He was there through tears and joys, He was there even when I was trying to outrun Him and hide. This wisdom gives such peace today and for tomorrow. If my greatest efforts to run didn’t find anywhere that the Father wasn’t already at, why would I think there will ever be a place I will walk in days to come in which He isn’t?

Look back upon your life just for a moment. Let your eyes see God’s presence everywhere and every when. Jesus came to earth with this message for us to hold unto. God the Father loves us with all His Divine and Holy being and He will never leave nor forsake us – even unto the end of days.

“for he has said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20
