Walk through

Spread the love

God has moved mountains to open my eyes. I move from whom I was to who He sees. It isn’t easy though. One would think that night when you give your heart to Jesus and seek His mercy, life would change. Like a light switch. Instantly from dark to light.

“You were dead through the trespasses and sins in which you once lived, following the course of this world, following the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work among those who are disobedient.” Ephesians 2:1-2

You were once lost but have always been loved and now forgiven.

Jesus died on the cross for all of mankind while we were still in our sin – even those who are ‘slaves to sin.’ Jesus told St. Faustina that He came especially for those most lost. He gives first right to His great Divine Mercy to the most sinful sinner.

And His gift of forgiveness extends to all who would receive Him.

“He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” – 1 John 2:2

Move past who you were to more, immensely more. God the Father has forgotten all about the things you once did. He looks to who you are now and sees who you can be. Don’t worry if you have fallen again (and again and even again). God believes in you. He believes and has such faith in you that He will grant His Divine Mercy again after each fall. The only requirement He makes is that we get back up after our fall, look back to Him and contritely ask again for His Mercy. Then, move forward.

It’s Satan’s delight to tell me that once he’s got me, he will keep me. But at that moment I can go back to God. And I know that if I confess my sins, God is Faithful and Just to just forgive me.

Get up and move right through those sins – no matter how many times you fall again to the same sins. Even mortal sins are forgiven by just seeking God’s Mercy. Put one foot in front of the other….
