Walk by Faith

“For we walk by faith, not by sight” 2 Corinthians 5:7

One step at a time. That is all God asks of us. One step at a time. One baby step. He doesn’t ask huge leaps, though at times, that baby step can seem a huge leap.

But, Jesus asks us simply to trust and take the next step. He gives us the strength to take this moment, if we trust. He doesn’t ask us to conquer tomorrow or even today, just take the next breath in faith.

If we look forward, all we will see is monumental mountains ahead. Mountains that will appear to be impossible to overcome. Jesus says to “keep your eyes on Me. Don’t look around, eyes on My eyes.”

We don’t know what tomorrow holds in store nor even today. Your Road of Faith may take an abrupt turn away from those mountains or maybe the Road you’re walking will find an easy cut right through the middle. There could be an easy way through that isn’t visible from afar. But, also trust Jesus and know that if you come upon a sheer cliff that must be climbed, Jesus will give you the strength and skill to climb even the cliff wall. If needed, Jesus will even give His angels charge over you.

Trust that Jesus knows the ways of your Road of Faith. Then, raise your hand to His and walk. Don’t worry where the road leads, just go. Take one step.

“For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.” Psalm 91:11-12
