Under this star

Spread the love

“I feel I am His child, I feel I am wholly God’s property. I experience this in a way that can be physically sensed. I am completely at peace about everything, because I know it is the Spouse’s business to look after me. I have forgotten about myself completely. My trust placed in His Most Merciful Heart has no limit. I am continuously united with Him. It seems to me as though Jesus could not be happy without me, nor could I without Him. Although I understand that, being God, He is happy in himself and has absolutely no need of any creature, still, His goodness compels Him to give himself to the creature, and with a generosity which is beyond understanding.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 244-345

That thought brings tears of joy to my eyes….God so loves me that He wanted me to be with Him so badly that He sent HIS only Son to die for me….for me? Doesn’t He know who I am? What I’ve done? Yes, He does know and He came to die on the cross for me anyhow …just to bring me home!!

Why would a King do such a thing?

Jesus loves each soul so much and so purely and so totally that He was willing to come to earth, leaving the brilliance of His throne of Glory behind for a manger lying under the light of a star. He gave up the sound of the Angel hosts singing “Holy, Holy, Holy” in exchange for the sound of a cow in the night.

Lying in the manger under that Christmas Star, He waits for you. And, at the other end of life under an eclipsed sun, He waits for you. Through all, from the manger to the cross, Jesus gave every last ounce, the last full measure of Himself because God could not be happy without you. The marvel of it all is that within the Trinity, Jesus has all the fulfillment and love that He will ever need. But, He could not be happy without you. So, He gave it all up to tell YOU that the Father wants you back again. The Father desires your heart so much that He gave His only Son to die for YOU and sent His Spirit to guide you and teach you.

For this, I owe God all my actions and words. I give Him as gift at the manger the heart which beats within my chest and the soul which brings me life. All I have is Yours Father, because You gave me all of Yours to light my way.

So, under this Christmas Star, I see the Light lying before me, a beacon of hope in this dark world. And, I pledge to be a mirror reflecting that light out for others to see. No matter how tough it may get, I will keep the faith that I may echo the gift of Your words and love into the world.

In today’s world, so many have lost hope and more have lost faith. I will strive to show both and be the light of the star in their skies.

“My Jesus, I will now strive to give honor and glory to Your Name, doing battle till the day on which You yourself will say, enough! Every soul You have entrusted to me” Divine Mercy in my soul # 245
