“Encourage souls to place great trust in My fathomless mercy. Let the weak, sinful soul have no fear to approach Me, for even if it had more sins than there are grains of sand in the world, all would be drowned in the unmeasurable depths of My mercy”. Divine Mercy in my soul # 1059
As Catholics, we stand against a world that is crushing souls in sin. Many people don’t even see the sinful ways that are carrying them directly to hell. And, sadly, many are being led to hell by the words and examples of sports and movie stars and politicians who live and preach an example of sin. People have made idols of these people and are worshiping their ways and following their examples despite being sinful to the point of destruction.
But, the Divine Mercy of God can overcome all the world’s sin and rescue all souls from the fires of Hell. “For even if it had more sins than there are grains of sand in the world” Jesus came to earth on a rescue mission with the desire to save all souls. “And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.” John 6:39
Just one drop of the Precious Blood of Jesus is enough to cleanse all creation and lift all souls to Heaven. Jesus poured every drop of His Blood from His pierced heart for the salvation of souls so “all would be drowned in the unmeasurable depths of My mercy”
Run into this incredible wave of Mercy! Hold nothing back.
He calls you. Look at St. Peter and the rich young man. Both were given the same opportunity, “follow Me”. Peter left everything. He left a business, boat and wife behind at Jesus’ call. But, the rich young man was holding onto his world and it dragged him back. He only needed to take one step and say yes to Jesus. With one word and one step, we could have had another great apostle and saint.
God asks the same question of each of us. Will you leave behind the idols and sin that hold you back to follow Him without looking back? Jesus will do the 99%, He asks us to do what we can do in our 1%. We come with bags full of the grains of sand of our sin. He says, even if you have “more sins than there are grains of sand in the world”, will you drop them and follow Me?
Don’t give up one step short of becoming a saint – put your best step forward and take hold of His Divine Mercy – never give up, just one more step. As this holy tsunami washes over you, embrace it and let it wash away every grain of sin from your life. No worries moving forward worries about future failings, like the waves at the beach, the wave of His Divine Mercy will continue to come upon you.
