Trust is not an easy thing to have. So many people fail us and we fail to live up to the standard we set for ourself. Each of these instances conspire against trust in God. The enemy’s whispers are diabolically simple and deadly.
But, trust in God in necessary, absolutely. Divine Mercy is about trusting God in our sinfulness. No matter how horrible our sin, God’s mercy is greater. Trust that fact.
As difficult as it is to trust and to learn absolute and total surrendering trust in God, He doesn’t demand it straight out of the gate. Thank You, Lord for Your Divine patience. God allows us baby steps and walks patiently with us as we slowly learn to trust. Step by step. God will give us ‘pebble sized’ moments to learn trust. Let the Father teach you, let yourself be as a little child as the Father lifts the stone to show you what trust is and can be.
Trust is like that little pebble David picked up to slay Goliath. It wasn’t much, Goliath mocked David for that little stone. He didn’t understand the level of total trust embodied in that stone.
The greatest avalanche can start with a single pebble. Trust is the same. A small bit of trust, all you can give in that moment of fear and despair, that is enough for now. Let that pebble roll and grow. Like the pebble bouncing downhill, trust needs to move ever forward to pick up power. Like the pebble, trust will grow and soon be knocking great obstacles out of the way. It will change the landscape.
Trust in little things. Pick up the pebble and throw it down the hill. Jesus, I trust in You!! Let that small act of trust grow into a life-changing, eternity-changing and world changing faith. Become a David standing tall and sure against any Goliath.
Trust in Jesus wins over all the world. Believe it!!!
