Time For A Revival

Spread the love

“For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body that is for[g] you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” 1 Corinthian 11:23-26

We need a revival, a Eucharistic Revival.

We look around the world and see the night descending into darkness. The light seems to be dimming in the world. Things seem bleak. Violence covers the news in abundance, hate seems to put man against man. Everyone points their finger left and right, blaming or accusing anyone. The left attacks right and right is angered by the left. Kids kill kids and mobs rise in riots.

Christians call out for the return of God to school and government. We need God, yes. But, I say today, we need more than revival, we need a Eucharistic Revival.

The Protestants broke the church and lost the Eucharist. They gave up the truth and love of the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus in the Eucharist to strike their path. 78% of Catholics don’t believe in the True Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist – men and women sitting in Catholic Churches, receiving the Eucharist who don’t believe it is Jesus. We bring God’s judgment upon us when we live in this manner. Those who don’t believe and we who do but do nothing about it.

“Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be answerable for the body and blood of the Lord. Examine yourselves, and only then eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For all who eat and drink[h] without discerning the body, eat and drink judgment against themselves.” 1 Corinthians 11:27-29

No, a simple revival is not enough. The Church is alive, she is breathing. Maybe not vibrant but that can be pointed to the lack of reverence in the Eucharist. “So Jesus said to them, “Very truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.” John 6:53

If we want the world to change, we must bring back a belief and love of the Most Holy Sacrament. A reverence of the Eucharist that goes beyond the world.

Very truly, I tell you, whoever believes has eternal life.” John 6:47

Why are things getting break and dark in the world? Why is anxiety in hearts on the rise? Jesus was very clear, without the Eucharist we have no life. We have no life and the world is dying.
