“My daughter, do not pay so much attention to the vessel of grace as to the grace itself which I give you, because you are not always pleased with the vessel, and then the graces, too, become deficient. I want to guard you from that, and I want you never to pay attention to the vessel in which I send you My grace. Let all the attention of your soul be concentrated on responding to My grace as faithfully as possible” Divine Mercy in my soul # 1599
Whenever we look at the world and situation around us we run the risk of letting that become the focus of our lives. Politics, news agendas, wars, illness and plagues affect the greater world. Personal and family strife and illness or even loss of a beloved family member, loss of job, car breaks down and so much more can hit us personally. Each of these things alone can drag us down but start piling things together and we can be pushed to the breaking point.
Then, the devil’s got you right where he desires. He makes you forget about the grace God gives in the moment.
The Grace God gives us in every moment is bigger and purer then we can ever imagine and certainly will be constrained if we look to the what the world is throwing against us.
The soul needs to focus on these moments as great vessels of grace. God never allows anything, even our free will, to go by without a way to pour grace into our souls and draw us closer to Him. His whole goal for us is to come home to the Father.
When we focus upon even the worst times as a vessel of grace, we open the doors of our hearts and minds to accept torrents of that Divine Grace.
When my daughter was first diagnosed a decade ago, I became focused upon the moment as the months went along. I stopped seeing God’s presence in those moments despite the miracles He had done. As my focus upon God strayed, I fell into a pit of despair. I didn’t see the great vessel of grace God was offering me. Thankfully the Father used even this as a vessel and filled my soul again to overflowing.
Do you look at those moments life brings, both good and bad, as vessels of God’s grace? As you start to do this, you will find God increasing the amount of grace within the moments of life.

Such an important blog post! Thank you. It really resonates with me profoundly. Yesterday was a very rough day in caregiving for my mom who lives with us. At the end of the day my husband and I went to Eucharistic adoration and I laid all the frustrations and burdens at the feet of Jesus on the altar. What a grace filled time that was! And this morning I woke up filled with joy!!! Pure grace. There is no reason for this joy except supernaturally.
We will add her to our daily prayers. And that you are filled with this great grace the Father is giving you
Thanks so very much!
