“it is time for you to take action; I am with you. Great persecutions and sufferings are in store for you, but be comforted by the thought that many souls will be saved and sanctified by this work” Divine Mercy in my soul # 966

“Write: before I come as a just Judge, I first open wide the door of My mercy. He who refuses to pass through the door of My mercy must pass through the door of My justice …” Divine Mercy in my soul # 1146

before I come as the Just Judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy.” (Divine Mercy #83). The writings in The Book of Daniel, Revelation and even Jesus’ own words of the end times can be terrifying. Look at the news headlines everyday and how can one not wonder if this is it.

I’ve spoken to many of the Road of Faith community and others who are scared of these times. What if this is it? “I thought there’d be more time.” Only the Father knows the appointed hour, even Jesus didn’t know what time would be judgment day (see Matthew 24:36). It is for the Father to know and not for us to worry about.

If you find yourself stressed and upset by the headlines, I have two recommendations for you.

First, stop reading them. There is nothing we can do about what is going on out in the world. The stress and anger they’ve caused me was a constant drag on my soul, heart and mind. It kept me from finding peace in God’s Divine Will. So I shut them out. Call it my fast offering to God. And, within days, my addiction to the news lessened greatly and with each day my peace and calm rose.

Second, and by far the most important, Trust Jesus and His Mercy. I give this advise as often as I am able. When stress increases, for whatever reason, grab a crucifix (preferably a great sacramental battle cross from The Cross of St Benedict see and purchase at http://www.crossofstbenedict.com/st-benedict-crucifix-bestseller/). Hold that cross to your heart and repeat, “Jesus, I trust in You. Jesus, I trust in You. Jesus I trust in You.” Slowly, the peace from His cross will wrap your soul and strengthen your heart and mind against the attacks of the enemy.

I was praying a Chaplet of Divine Mercy for each of you the other night and as I finished, God gave me to see a vision. I saw God the Father in Righteous Anger riled up and desiring to bring down the ax of judgment now. But, as Moses stood against God’s wrath (Numbers 14:1-24), so did Jesus stand before the Father. Jesus pleaded for just a little more time for Divine Mercy to bring the last souls in trust to God. “For there are still souls who will be saved and sanctified by this work.” And, God relented in His wrath for a time.

This should give all souls peace not fear. For those who trust in the Divine Mercy of God will come to rest in loving arms. His Divine Will becomes their peace and the day of mercy will rest upon their souls when they stand before the Judgment Seat.

“Then I looked, and there was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like the Son of Man, with a golden crown on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand! Another angel came out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to the one who sat on the cloud, “Use your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is fully ripe.” So the one who sat on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped. Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. Then another angel came out from the altar, the angel who has authority over fire, and he called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, “Use your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.” So the angel swung his sickle over the earth and gathered the vintage of the earth, and he threw it into the great wine press of the wrath of God.” Revelation 14:14-19
