Confident in the Next Step

Spread the love

Have you ever worried to do something because you aren’t sure if it’s God calling you or not? Ever felt a desire to say or do something but held back from fear?

God can be tricky in the sense that He doesn’t always speak clearly or loudly. He often cloaks Himself in subtle thought, like a whisper in your heart or mind. He will always be as clear as you need Him to be though. He is a loving Father, Who desires most that you grow and mature to become a strong adult in faith.

Connie and I have prayed for God’s guidance and received clear messages of His intent and desires for us. We asked Him for guidance when we were considering purchasing our big new house. He separately told us to “glorify Me in this home.” That is a strong yes with a mission. He told us we were on the right path when we sold that same house 15 years later by making impossibles happen clearly before our eyes. He dropped out new RV lives upon us through prayerful guidance, prophetic messages and improbable deals we couldn’t pass upon.

But, not all steps along the Road of Faith are crystal clear. Sometimes God whispers or is totally silent. He doesn’t keep silent in big decisions to trick us. No, these times when we need His help but in which He chooses silence are for our growth. He is looking for our ‘natural’ reaction to the situation. Will we do His Divine Will in a snap situation? Will we do His desire when we have to move quickly? Or maybe even the PHD level, do we react because our soul is simply connected to His Will.

His desire was crystal clear when we bought our first RV. Not so much so the past few days as we decided to trade that in for a new RV. But, we don’t see Him saying ‘no’ so we have moved forward trusting the desire of our heart is His glory and that the Father won’t let us go wrong with pure intent.

Follow His Divine Will always. Pray, pray, pray. When you aren’t sure, maybe because He isn’t being clear, trust. St. Faustina wrote that God knows and judges the intent of our heart not the results.

If you know what you’re doing is not a sin, not opposed to God’s Will and you act with pure intention to His Kingdom, God won’t let it go to waste. God won’t let anything we do fail to lead us to His Kingdom.

Ask God always. First and foremost and always, the soul needs to look to the Father for His Wisdom and Guidance. Discern the Road of Faith, look closely to your next step, focus upon your intent – if it aligns or God doesn’t show something opposed to His Will, do it and trust that God will use all you do to His Glory.

Trust that if God is silent on the next step that He is showing His trust in you. He won’t let you screw up His plans if you don’t succeed.
