We must all stand for the truth of Christ and His Church, to the point of martyrdom – THIS is the hill we must defend and die upon.
I recently read a news story about an Irish Priest who talked during a homily about how abortion, transgenderism, and sex between two men or two women is a sin. He was heckled by people in the pews, many got up and angrily walked out. And, maybe worse yet, he was reprimanded by his bishop. The bishop statement said “the offending homilies” said that “the views expressed do not represent the Christian position….The homily at a regular weekend parish Mass is not appropriate for such issues to be spoken of in such terms,”
The priest said we had to seek sinners and call them back to the truth. “How will people who are lost be found if we as God’s people don’t call them and say look, God loves you, he has come to call sinners.”
The truth of what God states and commands must be a hard line in the sand. “A hill to die upon.” We cannot retreat from this line – there is no ground to draw back upon. The truth is the truth – period.
His Blood already waters the ground. His light and the light reflected through us will be hated by most of the world. They will attack and try to destroy us. Some are sheep lost in the darkness who don’t know the truth – who don’t know God loves them. These darkness-lost sheep will see the Light of Christ and the light that reflects through us will see the light in the darkness and come toward it. They will experience both their sin and most importantly God‘a love and mercy through our actions and words.
The world hates us and will come after us but you stand in front and they’ll come strongly after you. The darkness will try to overwhelm and silence our strong priests. We must stand strong and pray for these priests and bishops. We must’ve willing to step before them and defend them in the line of battle.
Jesus died that we could find the Truth. Now is the time to make His sacrifice ring into the ears of the lost and shine brightly in the darkness. Now, is the time to call the lost to Jesus. Now is the time to stand up and with a strong voice call sin a sin but with a stronger voice speak of God’s Mercy.
Will you step forward to draw back a ‘lost sheep’ into the light even if it puts you at risk? We don’t have time to wait, the Master is watching and coming soon. Let’s fill His house with the lost sheep.
We know not what the master will return but He WILL find us ready when He does.

It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his slaves in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to be on the watch. Therefore, keep awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or at cockcrow, or at dawn, or else he may find you asleep when he comes suddenly.
