“Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see ‘the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven’ with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” Matthew 24:30-31
Make no mistake, time is short, the end of the age is drawing the curtained closed. Time is short. There is a lot to do, time is limited.
“You will prepare the world for My final coming.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 429.
I ask you today to take up my prayer through Advent and beyond. “Hold back Your coming, Lord,et me find just one more soul for Your Mercy.”
“…I am prolonging the time of mercy for the sake of sinners.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1160
As Advent moves forward and Christmas comes, we see Immanuel, “God with us”, the Merciful Baby laying in the manger. But, make no mistake, don’t become complacent, this cute little baby is a foreshadowing of what is to come.
“Write this: before I come as the Just Judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 83
Jesus came and still comes with Mercy. He brought God’s mercy in the manger and Mercy Divine upon the cross. He opens the gates of Heaven’s Divine Mercy for one last call to the world to accept that Mercy.
When Jesus told St. Faustina, “You will prepare the world for My final coming”, He was also speaking to you and I. He is reminding us of the Great Commission. He is reminding us that many souls remain ignorant and lost. He is calling upon us to be His voice, echoing the words of mercy and guiding souls to look to Him.
Time is short. In the end, it won’t be the souls who we brought to Heaven who testify of our faith but the souls we didn’t bring.
If the time is here for Jesus’ triumphant return, rejoice! But, join me in asking the Lord to hold back the “loud trumpet call” long enough to gather one more soul ‘from the four winds.” We have The Road of Faith readers all around the world, on every continent, I’d imagine we can make the rejoicing much greater with the souls we find who can join our praising as the trumpet sounds.
