Tell your Story

Spread the love

Do you have a story of God to tell the world?

When I approached the Marian Fathers and Father Michael Gaitely about publishing my book, “I Knew His Voice”, their responses surprised me.

Father Gaitley loved the story. He submitted my book to the Marian Editor for review. The editor responded saying how he loved the story I told for it was a story all should hear of trusting God when the answer is silence. They had some recommendations for updates to the flow.

I considered them for a long while. I didn’t know how I could change what I wrote. After months of prayer, God shared to me how I could do what they asked. I changed the start as they thought, but took the advantage to add to the story to bring it up to date.

Originally the story ended at the retreat…if you read the book, you know. But, in the rewrite, I added six years to the story, transitioning from a start of trust to a demonstration of that trust in my heart.

My story is a walk away from the Church and God, through finally hearing His call to come home. Then, as I drew to know God more, He called me to much higher heights. He set me through dark days that I would learn to trust Him more fully. Then, He asked me to share my story for others to read.

“I Knew His Voice” may never be a NY Time top ten or a made for TV movie. My blog at TheRoadofFaith.net may not reach thousands. But, as I ask God every night, “just one more soul”, if just one more person is impacted and turns to God more fully, I’m ok with that (as long as maybe one more soul after that ‘one more soul’ haha).

Do you know your story? How did God impact your life? Has He asked to use you to tell HIS story? How have you responded?
