We have all the weapons and backup to fight the demons and their lies. We have Holy Scripture, the very words of God Himself. We have the power of the Sacraments. We have Jesus Himself standing alongside us and His Divine Mercy to wash us when we fall.
All this doesn’t make the fight simple. Even washed in the Blood from Christ’s side, we are not invulnerable to the demonic attacks. In fact, because we have surrendered our lives to Jesus, we are more of a target and maybe more susceptible in a way.
The demonic forces arrayed against us fight on a level and with a persistency we can’t grasp. We can’t stand toe to toe with these forces. They will continue to attack and flank us until they find a weakness. Their only desire is our defeat.
This spiritual assault does NOT make us easy targets. We have the power of the Name of Jesus and the protection of the Mantle of our Queen, Mother Mary, in this battle. Not to mention battle hardened veterans in St. Joseph, Terror of demons and St. Michael and the angels.
The key is to always trust in Jesus.
“If I ascend to heaven, thou art there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, thou art there!
If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there thy hand shall lead me,
and thy right hand shall hold me.” Psalm 139:8-10
When the fight becomes difficult and you feel weak, maybe you’ve even fallen already. Call to mind the words of Psalm 139.
When you feel alone and scared. When you feel weak and overwhelmed. Call to mind the words of Psalm 139.
No matter where you go, even into the dirtiest pig pen of sinfulness, God is there. You can’t escape His love.
Never fear that you are alone, even if you full into the greatest sin at the hands of a powerful demon, the words of Psalm 139 remind us God is there.
I tried to run from God for many years. I lived in a state of sin of which I am ashamed. Even now, two decades after giving my life to Jesus, I am not out of sin’s grasp. But, God’s vision – AKA hindsight – has allowed me to see that in nearly four decades of trying to run away and even bury myself in hellish sins, God was always at my side. He never abandoned me, He never stopped being there, wherever there was at the moment.
He has always been and will always be there for you. Realizing this level of trust is a mighty weapon in the arsenal against Satan and his minions. Knowing that no matter what, God is there and loves you, is a mighty stab to the heart of the demons.

Thank you Ed. Many of “us” are feeling the attack and this is great advice! MJ
