“ “But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, turning you over to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors on account of My name.”” Luke 21:12
Persecution of Christians, especially Catholics seems to be the way of the world today. Ever wonder of the double standards applied to things Catholics stand against, and are prosecuted for?
The FACE Act prosecutes Catholics for kneeling and praying the Rosary outside an abortion mill. Yet, if one knows of a murder to take place and doesn’t report it, they can be charged. If a parent doesn’t stop a child from committing a crime they know may possibly maybe occur, they can be prosecuted. Abortion is a dream of many saying it isn’t killing a baby because the ‘lump of cells’ isn’t a baby yet. Yet, someone kills a pregnant woman and gets charged with double homicide.
Strange? Or is it a demonically led attack against those who stand for God’s Commandments?
Jesus makes it clear that this day will come. It’s been playing out since the leaders attacked Jesus and His apostles. Look along the highways outside Rome at the hundreds of crosses hung with Catholic martyrs. ask the 80 year old in prison for praying the Rosary at an abortion mill.
It is the world’s leader’s mission to destroy the Church and her people. Feels like it should be terrifying to be a Catholic in today’s society. Not!
“on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18
“You shall not fear them; for the LORD your God himself fights for you.” Deuteronomy 3:22
Nothing the enemy does can destroy the Church or her followers.
“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the Onewho can destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matthew 10:28
But, wait! What if they come after me? What do I do?
“So make up your minds not to prepare beforehand to defend yourselves; for I will provide you eloquence and wisdom which none of your adversaries will be able to oppose or refute.” Luke 21:14-15
Stop and listen to Jesus. Study and get to know Jesus in the Bible, Church and prayer. He will arm you with what to do and say in that moment, should it come.
Just make up your mind to follow and trust in Jesus. Know that regardless, He wins. A martyr gains a crown in His Kingdome
“And yet not a hair of your head will perish. By your endurance you will gain your lives.” Luke 21:18-19
