“During this retreat I will speak to you through the mouth of this priest to strengthen you and assure you of the truth of the words which I address to you in the depths of your soul. Although this is a retreat for all the sisters, I have you especially in mind, as I want to strengthen you and make you fearless in the midst of all the adversities which lie ahead. Therefore, listen intently to his words and meditate upon them in the depths of your soul.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 456
Did you ever wonder what the voice of God sounds like? Or, what it’s like to be in the same room as God, when He is working wonders?
I have heard the voice of the Father and of Jesus, of course the Holy Spirit is always speaking inside my heart. Buy and read my book to see some of these examples (click here to open a page to Amazon for “I knew His Voice.)
I can never explain to anyone what His voices sounded like in those moments. Each time was a surprise, and is still very special in my heart. I can still hear His voice in those moments whenever I close my eyes. The words God spoke gave me peace, even when what was said wasn’t the most calming news.
When God makes Himself known so personally to you, there is always a reason. He didn’t speak from a burning bush to Moses (Exodus 3:1-4:17) just to show off and impress Moses. He had a mission. He didn’t speak to me just that I could hear His voice.
The key to seeing God work as you watch and to ‘hearing His Voice’ is to open your heart and mind to the reality of God working actively around you and within our world.
Ultimately, that is the full purpose of “I knew His voice” and The Road of Faith (www.THEROADOFFAITH.net). To open the minds of others to believe God is actively present in the world and their lives.
When you start opening your eyes to God as Samuel did in 1 Samuel 3:10, you will begin to hear and see things in a very different light. Will God speak to you verbally as He did to me? No guarantees, He works as He desires. But, you will probably begin to hear the stirrings of your heart or read the Bible in a different and deeper way. Will you see Jesus standing before you as did St. Faustina? Again, no guarantees. But, you will stop seeing coincidences and start recognizing God movements. Those could be in events that occur within and around your life or people who pass through.
God does still speak to people and He does indeed still appear physically. To say He doesn’t tries to limit His love and power. He is probably very much more likely to speak within the stillness of one’s heart or through a Bible verse that you’ve read a thousand times. And, He may appear in the form of a stranger who crosses your path, a loved one’s hug or some coincidental action that opens a door for you to draw closer to God.
Just start believing this is true, open the eyes of your heart. Once your start seeing or hearing God in littler whispers or flashes and once you begin see His hand shaping the events of moment, you will be amazed at how often you see His hand or heard His voice.
“And Samuel said, “Speak, Your servant is listening.”” 1 Samuel 3:10
I have seen his hand in many ways. Not so much spoken words but the things that happen. I woke up this morning thanking God for the symphony of the birds and nature working together to play as I have said the best song ever, his masterpiece! Moments later I put on a pod cast of Kendra And she started with the same conversation. This kind of thing has happened many times. It happens in groups that help me know it’s not just a coincidence. I hope the communication and fake pressure on my body that wasn’t invited stops. It’s not in authority over me and I bound it in Jesus name
