“Have Mercy in me”
Four simple words that shake the foundation of Hell, terrify the demons and send Satan running to the deepest depths of Hell in fear.
One year, Satan saw victory at hand so in his pride, he decided to take some time off and leave his rulership in the hands of his demon minions. That Lent began with empty churches, what did he have to worry about? But, that Lent was like none other before. That Lent, all the Church Militant arose to claim mercy. They lowered their eyes and pounding their chests, rose their voices, “Lord, have mercy in me, a sinner.”
And, the Lord stayed true to His promise. “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicle 7:14
“The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.” Psalm 103;8
And, so when Satan returned to his kingdom, he was enraged. Many souls have been lost from his grasp. He vented his anger upon his minions and followers, accusing them of failing. But, it wasn’t their failure that lost these souls. It was the Divine Mercy of Jesus that snatched them from his hands.
“For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
So, I implore you Road of Faith community to make this the greatest Lent ever. Make it a Lent that shakes and rattles the gates of hell. Repent and turn to God. It takes but four simple words, “have mercy on me.” Then, turn around as Zaccheus and the prodigal and return to the Father to make amends.
“God has promised a great grace especially to you and to all those… who will proclaim My great mercy. I shall protect them Myself at the hour of death, as My own glory. And even if the sins of soul are as dark as night, when the sinner turns to My mercy he gives Me the greatest praise and is the glory of My Passion. When a soul praises My goodness, Satan trembles before it and flees to the very bottom of hell.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 378
