““Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.” Matthew 5:6
Strive for holiness, desire “that others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy as I should”, seek to draw closer to God and He will draw closer to you.
Though sinners, our desire to be righteous and holy is what God is looking for at this moment in our growth. Jesus came to earth, living among us, God created us, He knows what we struggle with and the fights between good and evil that rage within us at times. God knows our struggles and temptations.
God will give us the grace to fight through and grow as long as we are seeking that righteousness. When a soul seeks righteousness and holiness, no matter the pits and struggles that befall it, God Himself in the Beatitudes guarantees the soul will be satisfied.
Jesus affirms the ‘satisfaction’ these souls will find in the words He spoke to St. Faustina.
“I Myself will defend as My own glory, during their lifetime, and especially at the hour of their death, those souls who will venerate My fathomless mercy.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 1225
“. . . All those souls who will glorify My mercy and spread its worship, encouraging others to trust in My mercy, will not experience terror at the hour of death. My mercy will shield them in that final battle.” (Diary, 1540)
“Souls who spread the honor of My mercy I shield through their entire lives as a tender mother her infant, and at the hour of death I will not be a Judge for them, but the merciful Savior. . . . Happy is the soul that during its lifetime immersed itself in the Fountain of Mercy, because justice will have no hold on it.” (Diary, 1075)
Souls that make an appeal to My mercy delight Me. To such souls I grant even more graces than they ask.” (Diary, 1146)
“Every soul believing and trusting in My mercy will obtain it.” (Diary, 420)
Seek righteousness and be a vessel of Mercy delivered from God to aching mankind. And, Jesus will satisfy you.
