I sit and reflect on this picture. This was taken of the river and reflects the red and white of Divine Mercy. The funny thing is, in clear weather it doesn’t show this way. Just a city reflected in the waters.
“For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far he removes our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:11-12
When life’s storms grow, the waves feel like they will pull you under, turn to God. Trust His Love. Trust In Jesus!
As I think of this, Jesus speaks in my heart and tells me, “My Divine Mercy is most evident in times of storm for the soul. When the soul finds itself in the dark waters of sin and fear, it is then My Mercy is most abundant”
God is all about Mercy! Christ tells St. Faustina, “Proclaim that mercy is the greatest attribute of God,” (Diary of St. Faustina, 300). But, actually, mercy is more than God’s greatest attribute. It’s His entire nature. Christ further says, “All the works of My hands are crowned with mercy,” (Diary,, 300).
Divine Mercy is what changed my life. Before that February 2011 night in the ICU, I knew God and wanted a more intimate relationship but was living on the surface and tended to focus more on my need for forgiveness. That night, Jesus brought St Faustina and Divine Mercy to my life. After an 8 month fight through desolation, I came out through the Sacrament of Reconciliation as a stronger man of faith. My faith changed as my relationship drew deeper through His Divine Mercy and now my focus changed from past sin to future glory.
Rest in His Mercy, simply Trust in Jesus as the signature reads. God is in full control of all situations, all the time. Fall back on Him in crisis and He will be there to catch and lift you up – always.
“Know…that in one moment I can give you everything that is needed for the fulfillment of this task” (Diary, 1153)
