Rain or Shine

“I shall be faithful to You, come rain or shine.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 893

Do you allow your emotions to dictate your faith?  Do you allow the difficult circumstances of life to drive your faith and trust in God? 

Some may find that when life is challenging they struggle to trust God. Others may find difficulties in thinking of God when things are great.

The soul can be tempted to turn in on himself and, in so doing, turn from his love for God. 

A true sign of holiness is that we love God no matter what we feel or experience throughout our day.  Come rain or shine we must not waver in our love for our God and others (See Diary #893).

This is a real temptation and one that many fall into. 

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7

We know not the plans of God. His ways are so above our capability of sight that we must walk in faith and trust. We can know that in both good days and bad, God always has His hand on our shoulder, leading and guiding us to His Kingdom.

We must learn to trust. Simply that…whether sun shining, clouds brewing, rain falling and lightning striking – trust in Jesus. Trust that ‘this’ particular season is for His glory. And, God’s greatest joy is that you join Him in His Heavenly Home.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9
