As we prepare for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, I share a prayer from my journal.
“Because you have made the Lord your refuge, the Most High will be your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, no scourge come near you. For He will give His angels charge of you to guard you in all your ways…Because he cleaves to Me in love, I will deliver him, I will protect Him because he knows My Name” Psalm 91:9-11,14
I come to You in confidence, O Lord of Mercy, for I do know Your Name; Jesus, Incarnate Mercy of the Father. In Your Mercy, I see Your Love.
My Guardian Angel, St. Michael and the Choirs of Angelic hosts, I depend upon your defense, for I am a weak, sinful man, prone to falling. But, I trust in the Father’s promise of protection and deliverance through your charge and His Divine Mercy.
Father, Your faithfulness and Divine Mercy are my shield, my buckler, my only defense and hope. In You, I put my hope and salvation.
I trust You, Jesus. I trust that any fall of mine into sin will be answered by Your Divine Mercy and forgiven in Your Passion and Cross. For, I know Your Precious Name and that You are the King of Mercy, my Merciful Savior.
Holy Spirit, I trust in You and give You full permission and reign to burn out of my soul, any sin, or temptation, anything that keeps me separate from the Father.
I renounce all sin, Inclinations, temptation, Lies of the enemy and in the Precious Name of Jesus, claim fully my rights as a son of the Father through the cleansing power of the Holy Spirit. Set my life on fire, come Holy Spirit come.
