We start this new year in the guidance of St. Pope John Paul II.
“Holy Spirit, I ask you for the gift of Wisdom to better know You and Your divine perfections, for the gift of Understanding to clearly discern the spirit of the mysteries of the holy faith, for the gift of Counsel that I may live according to the principles of this faith, for the gift of Knowledge that I may look for counsel in You and that I may always find it in You, for the gift of Fortitude that no fear or earthly preoccupations would ever separate me from You, for the gift of Piety that I may always serve Your Majesty with a filial love, for the gift of the Fear of the Lord that I may dread sin, which offends You, O my God. Amen”
To start 2025, I prayed the Holy Spirit come into my life more fully – “Come Holy Sprit”. The Holy Spirit answered in a huge way. Thanks to Father Pivonka and his guidance, I’ve drawn closer and more intimate with the Holy Spirit. “Come Holy Spirit” opens and ends my day. “Come Holy Spirit” is becoming an embedded prayer within my prayers. I have a long way to go but I continue to pray the Spirit fill my soul and mind with a new Pentecost.
“Come Holy Spirit”
As 2026 opens, I set this prayer before each of you on The Road of Faith. I pray for a Pentecost-like in dwelling of the Holy Spirit upon each of you. I ask each follower of The Road of Faith to pray this simple prayer when you wake, before you sleep and as often as it comes to mind throughout your day. “Come Holy Spirit”
Right after the sign of the cross, make this prayer to opening and closing of every prayer you make to God. “Come Holy Spirit”
Embed this prayer within each Rosary, Chaplet of Divine Mercy, Chaplet of St. Michael, Novena, Grace before/after meals – within every prayer. “Come Holy Spirit”
Ask the Holy Spirit to fill yourself with Himself. “Come Holy Spirit”
Ask the Holy Spirit to open every one of His gifts to your life. “Come Holy Spirit”
Ask the Holy Spirit to open your soul to God more fully each prayer and breath. “Come Holy Spirit”
Ask Him to dwell within your soul as His own home. “Come Holy Spirit”
Then, tell others of this prayer “Come Holy Spirit”
Lead others to desire the Holy Spirit enter their life. “Come Holy Spirit”
