Prayer of “The Road of Faith”

Spread the love

My wife and I started The Road of Faith blog last December 31st. The first post was from St. Faustina’s diary welcoming the New Year. The hope and strong desire of my blog site is to help draw other souls to a closer, deeper and more passionate relationship with our Lord and God.

Paragraph 1567 from Divine Mercy in my soul rings strongly like a clarion bell within my soul of my desires with this blog. On New Year’s Eve 2019, my wife and I prayed that this blog give glory to God. We asked His Hand to guide and Holy Spirit to be a huge part of this undertaking.

At the time, I had only a vague idea of what I’d write about overall – my personal Road of Faith journey – and then, only a day to day thought about what to share. I asked then and continue to ask daily that God guide “my pen” that my sharing and reflection posts would give glory to His Divine Mercy.

God has not disappointed. Each time I’ve felt unsure of the next reflection, the Holy Spirit has opened my thoughts for the next posting. Often, in time I set aside to read His Holy Word, He shares something so strongly upon my heart that I have to interrupt my Bible time to put the thoughts into a reflection. I even stopped reading one day this past summer with a thought and was a bit upset. I looked out over my patio rail and said to God, “I just want to spend time with You in Your Word, can’t You let me just have this time?” To which, He immediately responded, “My Son, if listening and writing my thoughts glorifies My Name, is that not a better use of time?” Well dah. Yes of course. In that instance, like so many other times, I drew something powerful from what He was speaking through what I wrote.

So, I continue to lift this one desire for www.theroadoffaith.net, that I may have faith and courage to be an open vessel of trust and that He share words through me which will touch even just one soul and help that soul see God more clearly. I call out to God, “one more time” as I look for tomorrow’s post. And, God replies every time.

God has planted upon my heart that this is my “office and assignment” to bring glory to His Name. I surrender to His Words and guidance. And, I’ve seen the fruits. Both from what He has shared for me personally and also from many of the blog’s followers subscribed on the website and those who follow in Facebook and through PraiseNationPGH. The comments and sharing of hearts has touched and uplifted me daily and we’ve even seen a few souls repent and turn God and many others come to understand more fully and accept His Mercy.

Please share theroadoffaith.net with friends and subscribe. You never know when you share God’s love, how it could impact someone’s eternity. I ask you to pray for me as I continue to seek His Words to share and draw hearts closer to our God along this Road of Faith.

To God be all the glory, honor and praise, now and forever and ever.

“As I took the pen in hand, I addressed a short prayer to the Holy Spirit and said, Jesus, bless this pen so that everything You order me to write may be for the glory of God.” Then I heard a voice: Yes, I bless [it], because this writing bears the seal of obedience to your superior and confessor, and by that very fact I am already given glory, and many souls will be drawing profit from it. My daughter, I demand that you devote all your free moments to writing about My goodness and mercy. It is your office and your assignment throughout your life to continue to make known to souls the great mercy I have for them and to exhort them to trust in My bottomless mercy” Divine Mercy in my soul # 1567
