In today’s world, the praising heart and voice of a true follower of Jesus is more critical then ever.
““I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’”. John 1:23
We are the voices in the wilderness, the lighthouse in the dark night and fog for many people. So many are wandering through the material world, seeking only what it offers. The world only offer empty dreams and promises but so many don’t know that, so they chase and chase. Always on that hamster wheel. Never knowing true peace and hope. Never know Jesus Christ.
By Jesus’ own words and command, we are called to sing the praises of God u til the whole world hears, until all souls see and praise Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
“And this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world, as a testimony to all the nations; and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” Matthew 28:19
How can sing praise and be a voice “of one calling out” in an over secularized world that tends to seek diversion and attack anything that calls sin what it is, sin? We let our actions and words be of praise to the love of God. I’m not necessarily saying preach, but let our life be the Gospel.
Let our life sing of the Lord’s goodness and greatness by recognizing and rejoicing in what He has done for you. “The Lord has done great things for us, and we rejoiced” Psalm 126:3.
When everyone in the office is overwhelmed by the trials and struggles of work, “let us not get so caught up in the whirlwind of work that we forget about God” Divine Mercy in my soul # 82. When illness or bad times strike, find peace that God is on His Throne in Heaven and Know that you are a child of God.
Sing praise with your life, a life committed to and resting in the One, True God and our Savior Jesus Christ.
I have dealt with many times of struggle as all have. In recent years, I’ve discovered that the peace I know in Jesus has shown forth from my soul in words and actions – often, unintentionally. But, the fact that I know Jesus Christ has changed my attitude. Even if what the world would think is the absolute worst thing in the world befalls me, God is still God and God is always good and I am His Son. Nothing can change that fact.
When a worldly person sees your peace and calm despite the storms of life, they take notice.
My daughter had a doctor many years ago who we got to know through an extended inpatient stay. I never evangelized but he often saw me pray over and with my daughter. He saw me bless her and saw my reactions of calm I rough times. Jesus has total control and he saw that. So that, when my daughter had a seizure that put her in the ICU, he told me how my faith shines for him to see and offered prayer for her that day.
Praise God by your heart and be a beacon for others to see in the dark world.
