“I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever.” Psalm 86:12
What better way to look at a Monday and start a week than by praising our God?
“..I saw how the Lord Jesus suffered as He was being scourged. Oh, such an inconceivable agony! How terribly Jesus suffered during the scourging! O poor sinners, on the day of judgment how will you face the Jesus whom you are now torturing so cruelly? His blood flowed to the ground, and in some places His flesh started to fall off. I saw a few bare bones on His back. The meek Jesus moaned softly and sighed.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 188
I am a thorn in Your crown
But You love me anyway
I am the sweat from Your brow
But You love me anyway
I am the nail in Your wrist
But You love me anyway
I am Judas’ kiss
But You love me anyway
It’s amazing. God’s love and mercy are amazing. I sit listening to this song, the lyrics overwhelm me. I am amazed that He would give His Mercy to me despite all I’ve done to Him. For a moment, just a moment, think of your past. What things have you done against God, sins committed and barbs tossed? Then, think of the complete absolution of His Divine Mercy that wiped away all the sins of you life. Though your sins be as scarlet (Isaiah 1:18) they shall be white as snow. Even the most despicable act against God is wiped away by simply repentantly asking for this mercy.
Ask God today, now, for His Mercy. Go to Confession and accept His Divine Mercy.
