Listening to the voice of God first involves opening one’s heart and mind to hear Him. We must discern the voice and word of God whispered to us through the noise of the world.
“I Knew His Voice” and TheRoadofFaith.net both show how God has spoken directly to me. But, within both is ‘hidden’ the quiet voice of God whispered in the silence of my heart.
We all, every one of us, can hear the voice of God. It may take time and perseverance to discern His still, small whispers from the thunder and clamor of the world, but, He is speaking to each soul. We have to train ourselves that the ears of our heart would listen.
God speaks directly through His scripture and prayer and most in the Holy Mass.
He has spoken directly and audibly to me on several occasions. But, as you know, it is in my favorite time that I most hear His voice – the pre-dawn stillness. Through the Bible and prayer, God has given to my heart nearly all the 1,500 or so posts shared daily on my blog. Some, written in advance and scheduled for a future date, have impacted followers in their Road of Faith specifically on the day they publish. To me, that and the comments of awe and thanks, prove that it was God’s voice that inspired the writing. And, more so, that these inspired posts don’t go out needlessly.
