“I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever.” Psalm 86:12
What better way to look at a Monday and start a week than by praising our God?
Monday sets everything before us in the week. We already look forward to Friday. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring. But, those who trust in the Lord know that while we don’t know what tomorrow brings, we do Who brings the day.
“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” Psalm 27:14
It is very difficult to ‘wait on the Lord’ especially in difficult times. We are impatient beings. We see and buy. Like Violet I’m the chocolate factory, we want it now. That isn’t often how God works. God plays the long game. It is more important to the Father that we get to Him than anything else in all creation. Jesus came and hung on the cross as proof.
We need to pray very hard and to trust in the Lord’s answer and timing. He hears the prayers of His faithful, He hears the prayers even if His struggling for faith children. He even hears the prayers of those broken and without faith. He answers every prayer. Maybe not in the way we had hoped. Maybe not this Monday or even by Friday. The answer will come…
Just pray and wait on the Lord. Praise Him while you’re waiting. Serve Him while you’re waiting.
“He that offers praise as a sacrifice glorifies me” Psalm 50:23
““Let all on earth worship and sing praise to you, sing praise to your name!” Psalm 67:4
Amen, Brother Ed! Very well said! Praise God!
