Praise Monday – The Deeper the Thorn

Spread the love

Praise Nation brings us a reflection, praise song leading into Lent. “The Deeper the Thorn” is a reflection upon the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Let the weak, sinful soul have no fear to approach Me, for even if it had more sins than there are grains of sand in the world, all would be drowned in the unmeasurable depths of My mercy” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1059.

“The deeper the thorn the greater Your love.” No matter how deep the thorn of your sin may be, turn now to the Divine Mercy of God. He is waiting for you to come to Him, kneel humbly before Him and simply ask for mercy. In fact, Jesus says the more wretched the soul’s sin, the greater is its right to His Divine Mercy. The more readily this Ocean of Mercy will flow to wash that soul clean again. He will give even the dead soul life again.

The cross looms ahead, His mercy rises higher than Calvary. Don’t be afraid, approach the Seat of Mercy in the Sacrament of of Reconciliation now.

“Wearing my weakness, crown me with life.”

“I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul makes its boast in the Lord;
let the afflicted hear and be glad.
O magnify the Lord with me,
and let us exalt his name together!” Psalm 34:2-4
