Praise Monday – Remind Me Who I Am

Spread the love

“I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever.” Psalm 86:12

“He that offers praise as a sacrifice glorifies me” Psalm 50:23

What better way to look at a Monday and start a week than by praising our God?

Often in our lives we need to turn to God to be reminded of whom we are to Him, to be reminded of our value to Him. The first time I heard this song was on a men’s Emmaus retreat several years ago. My brothers in Emmaus often are that reminder to me of who we are to God.

Who are we? What is our value? We are sons and daughters of the Lord God Most High. He is the creator and King of the universe, yet, He values each one of us more than all the stars in the skies. He values us so much His only Son gave His life for each of us. He loves you and is always looking to show us the way closer to Himself.

Remember whom you are! Remember your value to God every time you look upon the cross. Remember your values and His love for you every time you receive the Lord God upon your tongue in the Eucharist.

““Let all on earth worship and sing praise to you, sing praise to your name!” Psalm 67:4
