Praise Monday – Keep Your Eyes on Me

Spread the love

Monday! The most dreaded day, the week ahead looms with storms of work and life. Through it all, Jesus says, ‘Keep your eyes on me.’

Why does our faith falter, our spirit grow weak and faint? We take our eyes from Jesus. We think we’re strong enough, we got this. Or, the storm rages too strongly around us. We forget and let our gaze wander.

No matter where you are or what you’re going through as you walk upon your road of faith, never take your eyes off of Jesus. Keep your eyes locked upon His eyes. But, if the storm’s rage grabs your attention and you feel yourself overwhelmed, sinking into the dark waters, cry out to Jesus. ‘Save me, Lord.’ Jesus is right there and will grasp your hand in His and draw your eyes back to His.

“Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat, started walking on the water, and came toward Jesus. But when he noticed the strong wind,[e] he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” Jesus immediately reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” Matthew 14:28-31
