“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I; send me!’” Isaiah 6:8
If the Lord were to call you today, how would you respond? Wait! Before me you leap to a quick yes, think. What if He calls you to give up everything for Him, even your very life?
God has called me to so many things that are way beyond me. Many times at first, my response was that I am too little or incapable or even afraid. But, He kept calling me, even if timidity I would say ‘ok, I guess.’ Over the past two decades of God’s calls, I’ve learned of success in Him and through Him. It doesn’t matter if I am not qualified or too sinful, if God calls, there is a reason he wants to use me, so, “here I am, Lord.”
Over the last 4 years of RV travel, God has called many ways for me to follow and do His will. I have learned to turn to Mary for confidence and go forward boldly with my “here I am, Lord.” And, the Lord has been present, oh has He. At times, my wife can only laugh in joy at how much He shows Himself.
When God calls you to little or impossible things, don’t question. Don’t hesitate. If you know it is God calling – GO!
